openssl.cnf

(/opt/GoIoT/DinGo/bin/ssl/openssl.cnf)

This configuration file is installed with the DINGO-Stack package.

The HTTPS certificate used by the DINGO-Stack web services would normally only protect one IP-address. The X.509 standard used in the process of creating HTTPS certificates for the DINGO-Stack web services, has an extension called SAN (Subject Alternative Name), which allows various values to be associated with a HTTPS certificate, like other IP's and hostnames.

This configuration file contains these alternative names and is a part of the process of creating the HTTPS certificates.

Note: When editing this file, do not edit the IP.1, DNS.1 and DNS.2 lines. These are automatically edited by rn_auto_create_self_signed_for_ip.sh.
